Kerala is simply beautiful and thanks to KarmaKerala - our holiday was hassle free...we didn't need to worry about anything- it was so relaxed - Sophie (Feb 2007)

Everything! The standard of all the accommodation, the beautiful countryside and the lovely people. The care that we received from everybody. A lovely lovely trip. - Vanessa ( Feb 2007)

Cherai Beach : Lovely setting. Clean, simple rooms. Pleasant staff. A great, relaxing retreat. - Vanessa ( Feb 2007)

Vembanad homsetay : It was liked being looked after by family. Another beatiful setting on the lake, Great beach nearby. The food was amazing and our hosts were lovely. - Vanessa ( Feb 2007)

Pollethai: Great setting, lovely cottages - a stone's throw from the beach.Very relaxed atmosphere. Great place to unwind at the start of your holiday. - Sophie (Feb 2007)

Privacy: Amazing!! Beautiful setting, great food and great staff. So glad we stayed here! - Sophie (Feb 2007)

Kumarakom Lake Resort: Magical - we loved this place... - Sophie (Feb 2007)

Back Water Ripples : This was the only hotel we were a little disappointed with. Compared to the others it felt neglected. The accommadation was fine, but the dinning room was VERY dated and there was no real bar area etc.. It was just lacking in a few places. Didn't help that we had our sunglasses stolen from the our garden..where the security guard was supposedly just a few meters away! -Sophie (Feb 2007)

Vembanad House Homestay It was liked being looked after by family. Another beautiful setting on the lake, Great beach nearby. The food was amazing and our hosts were lovely.Beautiful, serene setting with delicious (and excessive!) meals. We really liked being collected on the house boat from here! Great place for a few days complete rest and relaxation.- Amy Levy(Feb 2007)

Pollethai: A very quiet private experience! We had a beautiful villa; Andy, the manager welcomed us with great charm and wit - he is such a special person! The visit was wonderful, due to his attention and openness to everyone. The resort however has a long way to go before being able to truly call itself a 4 or 5 star hotel. Many details overlooked and missing...yes, we appreciated the quiet and the beach etc, but still felt we paid too much for just that. Food was good in general, and we loved the breakfasts by the beach. - Josephine (Feb & Mar 2007)

Sui House: Beautiful calm oasis hidden amongst bustling cochin . with the nicest hosts to make you feel welcome. - penny duncan Schwier (Mar 2007)

Leela Kovalam: Lovely hotel. Service was excellent and all staff charming. Think they will have to be careful with the 'groups' however. They do very inexpensive package deals from UK (First choice)which turns a luxury hotel into a large group resort- a slight deterrent for individual travellers. The addition of the Club rooms/area was important, but for a small supplement the 'groups' can buy into it as well which slightly defeats the object. Could not fault the service, cleanliness or food however. - Desiree John Brackenbury (Mar 2007)

sienna village: we were a bit disapointed with this one but probably as there was a Concrete Company conference being held and we were in the furthest away room where the electrics didnt work well. also the nature reserve was closed, so 3 days was too long to be there as it wasnt warm enough to sit around a pool, however the scenary was beautiful. - penny duncan Schwier (Mar 2007)

The country is breath taking, the food wonderful and the people sensational. The best food we had in India, The Spice Garden was calm and friendly (great entrance) and the Old Harbour was very chic. Coconut lagoon was a real surpise. - caroline elmarazki (Mar 2007)

Marari Beach homes just incredibly high standard. Very good value for money.Casa Maria Was a unique place, very well run and they couldn't do enoguh to help us and make us feel welcome. Thoroughly recommend if you like somewhere a bit different. Lake House Verambad Great food, nice clean room and excellent hosts. Cookery course would have been a nice optional extra, not necessarily value for money. Our Service: The fact that the advice provided for our itinerary was spot on and then everything arrived on time, the follow up calls to make sure everything was OK and all the descriptions were accurate, not oversold. About Kerala: Happy for my comments to be included on your website and marketing material. I really thought the whole operation was fantastic. I have travelled quite a bit in India but this was the best organised operator I have experienced. your advice was relevant, not oversold, it was appropriate and you understood our requirements.- Miss.Jane Roberts (nov 2007)

About Karma Kerala Team

Very rapid response to calls and emails; great deal of general assistance, advice and information concerning India and our itinerary - Josephine (Feb & Mar 2007)

Tijo is wonderful! Kind, efficient, in-the-know about everything, and always willing to go the extra mile. He was excellent in all ways! - Josephine

Attention to detail & felt I could completely trust Tijo. Vanessa

Tijo was great - organising things for us, confirming flights etc. Absolutely no complaints. Vanessa

Tijo works tirelessly to make sure everything is perfect. Our flight to cochin was delayed and we arrived late at night with a 6 hour journey ahead of us . Even though he had supplied a driver he wouldn't let us travel alone and insisted on accompanying us to the hotel and then drove all the way back to cochin. You don't get service like that in the UK. - caroline elmarazki (Mar 2007)

Fast and friendly - again Tijo was excellent and managed to incorporate all the extra places we wanted to try. He even managed to get us flights to Bangaram and two nights at the Coconut lagoon. - caroline elmarazki (Mar 2007)

Tijo could not have done enough to help. Was charming and thoughtful and kept in constant contact with us. -Desiree John Brackenbury (Mar 2007)

Sholto was very helpful in describing the different areas and helping us with an itinerary. -Desiree John Brackenbury (Mar 2007)

Note:- Driving in Kerala as you know is at least scary. However, the drivers were very courteous and helpful - even though we had our eyes shut most of the time on the roads ! -Desiree John Brackenbury (Mar 2007)
