A Less Known Silent Beach
This non-polluted and crowdless beach is in Alappuzha district to which easy access is there though Cochin International Airport, rail and road.
A beautiful beach is called Secret beach in local parlance. The Secret beach with clean white sand and bluewater is a less-known beach and the people other than Alappuzha residents call it Marari beach. Surprisingly, this less-known beach is rated as one of the top five hammock beaches in the world by the National Geographic Survey.
The beach is flanked by coconut palms as if they are duty-bound to provide shades to the sunlight. It is an ideal getaway silent spot. Marari is shorted from Mararikulam, a sleepy village of fishermen.
For tourists’ stay there are few resorts and homestays with pocket-friendly packages including yoga classes and game courts.
