Belgian Magazine Bats for Kerala
The article stresses that “if you need to spend a night on houseboat, it has to be in Alappuzha, the Venice of the East”
Closely on the heels of Lonely Planet, world’s largest travel guide publisher, declaring Kerala as one among the world’s best destinations, a Belgian magazine Knack highlighted Kerala’s scenic beauty and tourism potential in its issue of November 13. It says Kerala is the perfect destination to combine culture and nature and highlights Dutch-Portuguese-Jewish cemeteries, elephant processions, synagogues and houseboats. Religious harmony and the splendour of houseboats have been noted as other highlights.
The article stresses that “if you need to spend a night on houseboat, it has to be in Alappuzha, the Venice of the East” and that nature lovers could go to the Periyar National Park, famous for elephants and tigers. Kerala’s houseboats are with aircontioned bedrooms and a kitchen, it says further.
