The development was during his just concluded PhD research at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (TNVASU)
One litre of dieesel can be produced from the waste of 16 chickens.
Kerala has enough chickren waste. Roughly estimated chicken waste in Kerala is 15 crore kg per year.
CVAS is about to set up a plant in its campus to prouce 50 litres of diesel per day for which about 1000 kg of chicken waste is needed.
TNVASU has applied for patent and many entrepreneurs have shown interest in commercial production.
