Botanists Discovered a Beauty
The plants of manoharii found mostly growing in unaccessible spots with steep cliffs and sharp rocky cuttings according to the research paper published in the Journal of the Botanical Research Institute of Texas, US.
A combined research team from Kerala Forest Research Institute, Peechi, Thrissur and M S Swminathan Research Foundation of Wayanad discovered herbaceous climber named ceropegia manoharii in Meppadi Forest Range of Wayanad. The flower of the plant with its green and white petals and elegance is extremely beautiful and is found only in South Wayanad.
