Japanese Chose Thrissur Butterfly Park for Study

The butterfly park spread over 10 acres in Thumburmuzhi near Athirapilly Park in Thrissur district has been choosen for study on butterlies by Japan based National Institute of Agro-bioligical science, a major institute focussing on basic life sciences.
Thumburmuzhi Park is home to over 180 species. Their study and research focuss on behavioral pattern of butterflies, food habit, swallotail butterflies and hostplants among other things.
They selected Thumbuyrmuzhi after visiting the butterfly parks all over India.
Thumburmuzhi Park attracts hundreds of enthusiasts every day. The Park provides panoramic view of the lushgreen rain forest situated on either side of the waterfalls and garden.
