Tobacco is a silent killer in Kerala. Every year tobacco in one form or other claims 25,000 to 40,000 lives.
Kerala is ahead of other States in India in the matter of smoking according to the findings of Global Adult Tobacco Survey. Smokers’ national average of 24% outweighed by Kerala as its smokers’ percentage is 28.
