‘Think Pink’ of Joyalukkas
On Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Alukkas is currently spending Rs 3.5 to 4 crore through Joyalukkas Foundation.
Think Pink drive launched as a Corporate Social Responsibility by Joyalukkas of Kerala in UAE in 2011 has been extended to Kerala, beginning with Ernakulam district with the support of Cochin Cancer Society founded by pioneering oncologist Dr V P Gangadharan. The main motto of the Think Pink is to create awareness about breast cancer which is increasing in India, especially in Kerala in an alarming scale.
Joyalukkas Chairman and MD, Joy Alukkas, said Think Pink will conduct road shows and free checkups to educate the people about the deadly disease. A booklet on self-detection methods and key facts on the disease will also be brought out.
On Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Alukkas is currently spending Rs 3.5 to 4 crore through Joyalukkas Foundation. The Foundation’s help sevice is winged to Middle East, Africa and India in the form of financial support to patients suffering from AIDS, cancer and renal failure. Accommodation to the homeless people is also provided.
