The aromatic rice Gandhakasala grown by tribals of Wayanad is slated to appear in German houses.
A collaborative project named BioDIVA between Leibriz University of Germany and M S Swamination Research Foundation of India aimed to the conservation of traditional rice landraces in Wayanad and promotion of agro-biodiversity and traditional tribal knowledge is behind the move to take Gandhakasala, eco-friendly variety of rice, to Germany.
