  • 2 Full fish(kari mean)
  • 1 tsp chilly powder
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp coriander
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic chopped
  • few leaves of curry leaves
  • salt for taste
  • 2 tsp oil
  • banana leaf to wrap the fish
  • 2 Tsp Lime juice


  1. First clean the fish make gashes over the fish on both sides.

  2. Now we need to grind all the ingredients (chilly powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger and garlic).

    Now take that grinded masala and spread all over the fish (both side) and add lemon juice and smear both side, and keep that fish aside for 10min so that all the masala gets into the fish well.

  3. Take a banana leaf spread oil over it and place the fish with few slices of onion and curry leafs and wrap the banana leaf. Heat a frying pan, add two table spoon oil and place the fish folded in banana leaves over it, fry both sides till the banana leaves are golden brown.
