Rava (Sooji) Upma


  • Fried Rava - 1 Glass
  • Water - 1 1/2 glass
  • Green Chilly - 2, chopped
  • Onion - small size- 1 - chopped
  • Curry Leaves - 5-6
  • Chopped ginger - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste


  1. Heat oil in a frying pan and crack mustard seeds. Fry curry leaves, chopped ginger, onion, green chilly.

  2. Add water, salt and bring to boil. Then add rava (sooji). Keep stirring till thick and soft.

    You can make your Upma more delicious and nutritious by adding grated coconut, grated carrots, beans or boiled greenpeas etc while frying onions.
